| Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui Goes to Lithuania for Negotiation |

From 17 to 19 October 2004, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui visited Lithuania, met with First Deputy Speaker of Lithuania and held political negotiation with State Secretary of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.
The two sides exchanged views on China- Lithuania relations, China-Europe relations and international events of common interest and were satisfied with the stable development of bilateral relations as well as the cooperation in international affairs in recent years. The two sides also hoped to deepen the exchanges and cooperation in all fields between the two countries. The Lithuanian side reaffirmed to continue to stick to the one China principle.
